Sandra didn’t know what to think as she got on the bus to go to school. This morning she had went to the backyard to feed Clad their dalmatian. But she found him sleeping. She bent down next to him and was about to pet pet him, but her hand froze. Clad’s body was clod and limp. She had yelled for her father who was a vet and he came rushing out of the house and soon he told Sandra what she dreaded. Clad was gone. Gone. Gone. The word kept echoing in her head. She would never see Clad again. She walked over to a seat next to Danna {her best friend}. “What happened?” Danna asked,” You look like you cried all your life!” Sandra smiled a shakily and said,” It’s Clad. He died.” Danna loved Clad almost as much as Sandra. “He’s d-dead?!”Danna choked on the last word. “Yes.”Sandra answered sitting down.
The bell rang and Mrs.Fella dismissed the class. Sandra had almost forgotten that it was the last day of school. Tonight was her birthday and Danna and her family were invited. As soon as she got home Sandra went up to her room. That 2:55 Sandra climbed down the stairs. Everything looked like it always did. She didn’t expect anything her party was at 6:00. “Honey,” Sandra’s mother called from the kitchen. “Ya, Mum?” Sandra asked. “Go get dressed, we’re going to Shakey’s.” Sandra climbed up the stairs to her room.
Shakey’s was a great place and her mother and father loved to go there. They led her past the tables and surprised her by leading her to the room that were used for celebrations. “SURPRISE!” Danna and her family were seated at a table. Sitting down I smiled and said,”Wow! You guys really surprised me!” Just then a waiter walked in with a tray. There was six sundaes but one of them had a lighted candle on top of it. After everyone ate their sundaes I opened my presents. Danna got me a blue t-shirt that said: Best Friends Forever: Danna & Sandra.
I opened my gifts everyone except my mother. She said,” I have you gift in this box!” Then she handed me a box that had a bazzilion holes in the lid. I was about to open it when the lid fell off and a small kitten jumped out and landed in my lap. I couldn’t help my self. I shouted,”I don’t want a kitten!!!”
