  “You don’t want a kitten?” Mum asked. “I..umm…er..I” I didn’t know what to say. I didn’t want to hurt mum’s feeling but the truth was since Clad died I didn’t want another pet at least for sometime. And now I got one on the same day! I was going to come up with an excuse when mum bent over and hugged her stomach. “What’s happening!?!?” I asked worried. “It’s okay,Sandra,” my mother said. “We wanted to surprise you today with an announcement. You mother is going to have a baby but it dosen’t seem to want to wait till next week. So I’m going to take your mother to the hospital now.” I got up and, Fred, one of the waiters said that he’d clean the mess. With eveyones help we carried my presents outside. They dumped them all in the trunk of my parents car. Then I said bey to Dannaas they drove off to home.

   On the way to the hospital the kitten curled up in my lap and and stared at me with  it’s green eyes. As we drove into the parking lot mum let out a groan. We hurried her in to the operation room. I waited in the waiting room and then about an hour later a nurse came over to me and said that I could come in and see the baby. So I walked to the room and sat next to mum. “Look,” she wishpered. I looked at the tiny bundle in her arms and saw that it was a little girl with alot of hair! The doctor said that mum would have to stay to stay for one more day at the hospital.

  The naxt day mum came home with the baby. The kitten had found a place to nap and always troubled me. Clad never did that. But there was one problem. The kitten was cute.
