True Seer - April 14, 2010 by raqshan
This entry is part 1 of 4 in the series True Seer

Hey! I am writing this only to see how you guys like it. Write comments if you think I should or shouldn’t write this. If you say I should this might become a series.  P.S. Tell me is I should change anything.

:D

Part #1

Have a good first day, Aria,” my mother called from the open window of her car. I mumbled back a reply. I pushed a lock of my jet black hair behind my ear as I entered the large door of Creek Bridge Middle School. Kids were chatting and making a loud racket.  I felt the piece of paper in my hand. My locker was #112 and my combination was 53018. As I made my way through the halls I felt eyes glancing curiously at me. I found my locker and put in the combo.

“You’re new right?” a voice from the locker next to mine asked. I knew with out having to look that it was a boy who had addressed me.

“Ya,” I replied, “I am new.” When I turned to him I could feel a moment of shock emanating from him, but he got himself under control. I knew what had startled him. He had seen my eyes. One was violet and the other was gray. I had  felt as though the kids at my old school had never let me fit in. I hoped the kids here would be different.

“Are you okay?” the boys voice sounded concerned.

“Yes,” I said turning back to my locker, “Why wouldn’t I be?”

“Well…” he sounded unconformable, “Your eyes are, well, kinda glazed, like you couldn’t see me.”

I turned back to him as I closed my locker, “I can’t, ” I told him, “I am blind.”

“How are you going to find your class?”

I shrugged. I hadn’t thought of that.

“Who’s your homeroom teacher?” he asked.

“Mr.Fielder.” I replied.

“Cool,” he said, “he’s my homeroom teacher too. I could walk with you to class.”

I nodded. I’d like that.

As we walked to class he asked,” What’s your name?”

“Aria. Aria Contrue.” I answered, “And yours?”

“My name is Jake, but everyone calls me J,” he replied.

That’s how I first met my to-be best friend. He helped me most on my mission.

Who I Am- To The Movies!!! Part 2 - April 14, 2010 by Grace-la

“So were are we going to eat?” I asked looking up at Blake’s handsome face.

“Well, I was thinking we could have a picnic,” Blake looked at me and smiled, “If that’s all right with you?”

“Of course it’s all right!!!” I laughed, “I love the outdoors!!”

“Really?” Blake looked at me and raised an eyebrow, “I thought it was against some Bridget law to like the outdoors.”

“Well yay… she’s not much of an outdoorsy kinda person…” I looked straight ahead and saw the park ahead of us. “Hey, what are we going to eat anyways?? I didn’t see you with a basket.”

He laughed, “It’s not really manly to carry a basket around! I hid it under a bush. We’re having turkey sandwiches, root beer, and some cookies if that’s all right?”

“Perfect!!!” I couldn’t wait. This was definitely the perfect date. Even though Bridget would probably break up with Blake right here. Bridget expected me to follow all her little laws. Don’t do this and if I ever see you wearing that color! Always smile… Never do that again… Just listen to me!!! Sky, you’re sooo clueless… I snapped out of my little daydream. We were at the park under a weeping willow. This was soooo romantic!!

“I’ll be right back,” Blake told me, “Don’t move a muscle!!”

“Fine…” I rolled my eyes. He smiled his heart melting smile and walked down the hill to get our food. My hair swirled around my face in the breeze. Maybe I should check my hair and makeup one more time… Nah! That was such a stupid thing to do. I slumped against the trunk of the tree and closed my eyes. This was were I wanted to be all the time… away from the chaos of popularity. I thought for the gazillionth time, who am I, really. I was positive that I wasn’t who I acted like I was. I was no popular girl, that I was sure of.

“Sky! Wake up!!” Blake teased. I opened my eyes and giggled.

“Fine!!!” I said, spreading out a blanket Blake had brought up. It was plain green, no red gingham. I don’t know why people think that if your going to have a picnic you have to have a red and white blanket! Blake set up our dinner and we had a great time. Sometimes we would laugh, but most of the time we ate in silence. It wasn’t an akward silence, we somehow communicated through just being silent… and I liked that.

“I’ll race you down the hill!!” Blake challenged. His eyes twinkled like a little boys.

“Ok!” I laughed, “No running I don’t have the shoes for that! Let’s roll down the hill, like we did when we were younger.”

“Your just soo0 picky!!” I shoved him hard with my elbow. “Oww!!!”

“Ready, set, GOOOO!!” I began rolling down the hill. Briget would never aprove of this, but I didn’t care. This was way funner than making out all night like Bridget would have done. I was having a ton of fun and I was with my dream guy. I reached the bottom of the hill laughing my head off.

“I wasn’t ready!!” Blake complained reaching the bottom of the hill. He picked me up and swung me around. “You got some twigs and leaves in your hair!” He picked out a few leaves.

“umm…” I was blushing like I had way too much makeup on.

“It’s ok, I like you like that,” Blake pulled me into a hug just to prove it. Then, he did something I thought he never would do… he kissed me. It was the kind of kiss that left butterflies in your stomach and made your heart ache with happiness.

I looked up into his dark black eyes and smiled, “We’re going to miss the movie.”

“Uhhhh…. Do you want to ditch the movie, I like it in the park,” Blake confessed.

“That’s 101% ok with me!” I rested my head on his chest and let out a sigh of releif. This was turning out to be a great night, more perfect than I could have imagined.

“Let’s go on the swings,” Blake offered. I nodded my head and we walked over to the swings. We sat still staring off into the woods. Our hands were intwined and when I began to shiver, Blake gave me his jacket.

“Thanks,” I slipped on the warm, black, leather jacket. It was way to big for me, but it’s warmth was inviting and it just proved that Blake cared.

You love him a little voice whispered in my head… You love him…

The True Meaning of Love – POSTPONED - April 14, 2010 by FranticHope

Okay, I’ve been having trouble thinking about that lately, so it is currently being postponed. It won’t be permanent, I promise that, but it may take me a while to get more inspiration.

BUT. I did get some inspiration from activites at school today, and I will be writing a story about a girl who is blind.

Although, I want some help on the title. I personally like the title ‘Tales of CoLoRlEsS Days’, but I wanted to know what you people think. Here are some choices:

Tales of CoLoRlEsS Days

CoLoRlEsS Days

See No Evil (actually, I do like this too :p. Then there may be multiple series at once…)

Lessons That You Can Never See

Life Without Sight (…)

Lessons Learned from The Blind

B L I N D

The Blind One

Yes, I did give you people a lot. You can choose about 3, maybe 4. But you don’t have to choose that many, nor can you choose more that that.

You Remind Me - April 14, 2010 by Kaylene

You Remind Me

Your eyes remind me
dark chocolate.
Your smile reminds me
of pearls.
Your hair reminds me
of a clear night sky.
You remind me
of an angel.
