I stare at this blank paper.
Thoughts rush through me.
I forget my world.
And I wanna write things down events that I see.
I think of my love.
Whats happaning above.
But the doors close with bang.
I look up from the dest.
She tells us to write about whats our shames.
I should not be here,
In trouble with the trouble-kids.
And then I notice this tear.
My little brother died,
And the kids who did it were payed.
And the whole day I did not lisen to teachers for only I cried.
My hands in my face.
All they sied I gave it a shot.
Thats all.
I tied to save his life- don’t be a rot.
I walked out of the room so the teacher yelled.
I turn around and say “Don’t you hear the bells?”
Myself a summer Package chapter two
I was totally out of breath, my throat felt like it was on fire, yet the inhales were so sharp it felt like i was cutting it with ice. And as I flop around like a fish on Summer’s lawn, I remember my inhaler.
Instantly I checked my pockets, as i was still sprawled out on the damp from dew drops, grass.
I didnt have my inhaler!
Did I drop it? I couldnt have….did I leave it at- OMG! I left it at Mary’s house! I cant go back there! She probably hates me now! And besides, I can’t- I dont- have enough energy to….to….to….eeeev- even….gett….up. I inhaled and exhaled sharply, fast because my heart was beating too hard. I needed to scream, but I couldnt.
My breathing rate got faster, and faster, my intakes of oxogyen got slimmer and slimmer.
My hand started to twitch, it always does that when I start an Asthma Attack-
Suddenly, everything when black.
*****************later the next morning
“Oh, Chris! Chris! She’s waking up! Yes, yes, come, she’s waking up now! No, honey just get over here! Wait what? I dont care about- really? Oh that does sound like a nice one- Oh but sweety, she’s waking up! Come!” I heard my mom. My eyes fluttered open, everything was blurry for a few seconds.
“M-mm-mom?” I asked, so glad to see her.
“Yes, i’m here hun! I’m so glad you’re alright, Jade.” My mother embraced me in a hug.
My dad stood in the background.
“Honey, you’re okay!” He came to me, we hugged too.
“How’d you end up on Summer’s yard?” My dad asked.
“Long story,” I said unpleasantly remembering last night.
“Jade, I’m glad you’re okay.” I heard Claire’s voice.
But where was she?
I looked behind mom and dad, and there she was, standing with Mary, Taylor, Jess, Jenny and Susan.
“Why are they here?” I asked Claire, hopping off the hospital bed, while my mom and dad went to get me some food from the lobby.
“We wanted to see if you were okay.” Susan said.
“Yea, even if you were extremly rude yesterday,” Mary mumbled.
“Quit it, Mary!” Claire nundged her hard.
“Well, sorry if she had an additude! All you told me to come her for was to see if she’s alright and she is, so i’m leaving now.” Mary stalked out of the room, her red hair curls bouncing with every step. Taylor, Jess, Jenny and Susan followed.
“I’m sorry about last night. I only laughed because Mary would get mad if i didnt.” Susan whispered as she pasted.
They all left the room, except Claire.
“They are a bunch of jerks, dont listen to Mary.” Claire said; but i already knew that.
“I know, i just want to punch her.” I looked around. “Where’s Summer?” I asked.
“I saw her slip into the bathroom when she saw Mary coming. So I followed her and she said she didnt want to come to you until they left.”
Summer entered the room.
“Sorry, I didnt want-” She started.
“I know, and I’m sorry. They were so mean to you.” I said. Her blonde hair and blue eyes sparkeled.
“Dont be sorry. I shouldn’t have ran away or none of this would have happened.”
“I went after you because I chose to, you didnt make me do anything.” I hugged her.
Claire stood their akwardly.
“So……okay, we all good now?” She whispered, shy to ask.
“Yea, we’re all good.” Summer said.
The door came open.
It was…
Mary.
“Oh, she’s here,” She sneered.
“What do you want Mary?” I asked.
“I wanted to give you your inhaler, jeeze. And weirdo girl over ther-”
“Mary, get out, just leave!” Claire said.
My dad came in.
“Oh, am I interrupting something?” He asked.
“No, I was just about to leave.” Mary said with her snobbish sneer and attitude, she passed my dad and headed for the door .
“GOOD!” Summer yelled after her.
Mary turned her head sharply.
“What did you say to me?” She asked.
“I said GOOD!” Summer leaned foward.
“Oh that is it! You litt-” She pounced, i swore my dad shrieked. She ripped off Summer’s blonde wig.
She was bald.

I feel myself shake in anger.
How could he do this to me?
His love dous not egsist.
Questions are only what I see.
He’s gone,
Away.
What do I do?
And the shake that runs through me,
Is because of you.
Myself a Summer package chapter ONE
Laying on the grass on a hot summer day, my shirt stuck to my back in the thick heat. The wind’s questions leaked into my ears; “Why are you here? What is your purpose?” I looked up into the blue sky, the sun was shinning. The breeze envoloped me in a mellow package, wrapping me up in thoughts. Who would be my reciver, where would I end up? The air stuck on a postage stamp; a cool sprinkle that started suddenly to rain down. I awoke from my wrapping of wonders, reality soothed back in.
“How long have I been laying here?” I asked myself aloud.
The air suddenly chilled, arising goose-bumps from my skin.
“Jade! Dinner!” My mother called, standing on the back porch, infront of the screen door.
“Coming.” I said, blowing a kiss to the sky above and heading back in for dinner.
*** Later that night
My bed sheets were soft, and my window was open, letting salty breezes ripple in from the ocean that was a block away. I wondered about school, only 2 short months to go until it was here. Of course nobody wanted to leave careless summer days behind for school work but I was excited; I was heading to the middle school this year. Finally I might get some more freedom, and I was looking foward to it. I wondered about my friends, all which were going to meet up with me at the beach tommorrow. I was going to see them after weeks of being cooped up in my house alone, I was so excited.
***the next day
“Mary and the others cant make it to the beach today Jade,” My mother explained to me.
“What? Why not?” I had been waiting for this day since the end of school!
“They’re going to some concert of some lady called Maddy Drama.” My heart sunk in an ocean of despair, right down to the bottom like an anchor.
My mother squeezed my shoulder; “Maybe some other time,” She told me.
I ended up going to the beach by myself, my mother came with me though.
“Don’t go too far in, Jade.” She warned, and I knew I wouldnt.
“Stupid friends! They couldnt even tell me before? I know they wouldnt able to just magically get tickets the day of the concert, they had to have booked it or something.” I talked to myself in anger, as I sliced through the water, hip deep so far. “They didnt even invite me! And they’ve done this before too.”
“Are you okay?” A voice asked, I turned around. It was a girl, she looked about 12, my age. She had long blond hair, braided thickly down her back.
“Umm..yeah. Just angry.”
“Angry at your friends?”
“Yup.”
“Blew you off?”
“Yea…”
“Don’t worry, in same situation.”
“Hey, don’t you live on my block?” I asked, noticing she looked familiar.
“Yea, Henritta?”
“Yes…” I looked at the water.
“Summer,” she said, I looked back, puzzled.
“Yea, it’s nice to have summer instead of school,” I finally said, ignoring the way she said summer, as if she was….introducing herself…………… “Oh! Hi, I’m Jade!” I caught on.
Summer laughed. “Hey, Jade,”
We ended up becoming pretty good friends, and she invited me over her house after the beach.
“Sure,” my mom answered for me, over hearing the question.
*** later
“No, they went to a concert.” Summer told me.
“Really? That same thing happened to me!” I exclaimed after she told me why she was at the beach alone today.
We played video games together, rode bikes, shooted some hoops, and then I went home.
“How was it, sweety?” Mom asked me, I smiled.
“Great.”
The next day Summer called me.
We headed to the beach, collected seashells, ate hot dogs, made a sand castle, and hid under the board walk in the shade.
I had totally forgotten about my other friends who had deserted me yesterday.
Then…I got a text from Jenny, one of my friends who had went to the concert.
Wanna hang out tonight? The rest of us felt really bad about leaving you, so we wanna have a sleep-over. The text said.
I gasped, and texted back furisoly.
“What is it?” Summer asked me.
“Jenny, one of my friends who had left for the concert just texted me saying she wanted me to come over tonight with the rest of them!” I answered, jumping for joy.
“Oh my gosh that’s great! I wish my friends would do that,” she laughed, although I knew inside it hurt.
“Maybe you can come with!” I said, thinking it would work out.
“Really?”
“Yea!” I texted Jenny back; can my other friend, Summer, come over?
Got a reply: Sure…I guess so.. as long as she isnt weird..how old is she?
I wrote back: She isnt at ALL! she 12
Jenny: Good age, bettaa nott b weirdo oh ..we have the funniisttt stry to tell uuuuu! It hilarr!
I texted back: kks! cnt wait to hear itttt!
“You can come!”
***at party
I walked into Mary’s room, everyone was there; Jenny, Jessy, Mary, Taylor, Claire, Susan.
“Who’s that?” Mary asked, refurring to Summer, being rude.
“Summer,” Summer replied, placing down her bag.
“Jenny said I could bring her,” I told Mary off.
“Fine, whatever.” Mary looked from Jenny to me and shut her eyes. “I have the funniest story to tell ya’ll!” She screamed.
“You mean Summer and Jade,” Taylor said, “We were there, remember?”
“Yea, whatEVER!” Mary said, rolling her eyes. “At the concert, we saw these two girls with pillow cases on their heads and they were like: ‘Hello everyone, we are simone and Macy, the ghosts of this concert! Beware!” Mary laughed, and so did everyone else, including me…but not Summer.
I had to admit, that would be pretty stupid for someone to do.Even though it’s hilarous, i couldnt help but think that they might have actually wanted to be scary.
I pushed it out of my mind; No, they are just a bunch of losers. Dont pay attention to them.
“What, you dont get it?” Mary asked Summer, groaning.
“I just dont understand what’s so funny about it.” Summer answered.
Everyone laughed like a pack of hyenas.
“They were acting like idiots, duh.” Jenny told her.
“Oh,” She looked at the floor. What was wrong? She wasnt like this before.
“Okay girls! I have a story none of you have ever heard!” Jessy gloated.
Summer rolled her eyes, said nothing.
“So I was watching a new episode of Soy Soy last night on demand,” Jenny began, everyone squeled in delight…except Summer. “And I noticed that Macy might like Tyler!” She said, everyone clapped and hooted…but Summer.
“OH MY F-ING GAWD! NOO WAY!! I CANT BELIEVE IT!” Mary hollered.
Mary had noticed Summer wasnt hooting or celebrating.
“What, you don’t know that show, Summer?” Mary asked, sneering her name.
“Of course I do, but I never watch it.” She answered, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms against her chest.
“Of course you don’t.” Mary smiled.
“Well apperantly you didnt watch it last night either, since you didnt know what was going on in it!” Screamed Summer, suddenly her rage boiled out.
“I watched it on demand, so none of you could have known.” Jenny answered, taking Mary’s side.
“Well who cares if i dont watch it?” Summer mumbled, keeping her cool.
Mary laughed, but she stopped suddenly, she looked at Summer and leaned over to Susan, “She has a wig on,” She whispered.
Susan laughed, and leaned over to tell Claire, but Claire didnt want to hear it.
Claire and I have been best friends since 2nd grade, and she didnt even get to go to the concert either, she was away in Florida yesterday. I knew she wouldnt have gone with out me anyhow, and I know she didnt laugh because she respected Summer.
Claire eyed me a warning signal, which I knew.
I nodded back, pointing towards Summer through with my eyes, telling Claire that i understood.
She nodded back.
Since Claire didn’t want to hear it, Susan bent over her to Taylor, once she heard she laughed out loud. Taylor passed it on, which made a chain reaction and a mob of whispers and giggles.
“Can we just stop?” I finally said.
“Stop what?” Mary asked, all innocently fluttering her eyelashes.
“Everthing,” I aswered.
“Why do you have such an additude today, Jade?” Mary got up, looking me in the eye.
“I don’t, you do! Stop picking on Summer!” I yelled, I hated this sleepover so far.
“Well you shouldn’t have brought her here, then! You know she doesn’t belong here.”
Summer’s eyes grew big, they teared up, her face got red.
“Does it look like anyone here wants Summer to stay?” Mary turned, asking the crowd of my “friends” (All except Claire, because she is my Bestie!)
No one said a word.
Claire nodded, but Mary didnt notice.
Atleast they had the will power to not laugh and agree, but Mary took that as a no anyhow.
“See? She doesn’t belong here with us! Everyone is in an agreement; she. Is. A. LOOSER.”
Summer gasped, she inhaled sharply, her tears sobbed out, she fled the room, fled the stairs, fled the house, fled the block.
“Good, she’s gone, sorry about that Jade,” Mary told me, she took my hand in a cheesy comforting way. “In case you didnt notice, her hair was a wig.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I asked.
“That’s supposed to mean that she’s bald, duh.”
“So?” I didnt belive her, and I really didnt care either.
“She wouldnt just shave it off, nobody would do that, not even an idiotic person like her. She must have some sort of…disese.” She whispered sharply in my ear.
“No…no she doesnt! How DARE you judge my friend! YOU are the one with the attitude Mary, not ME!”
I ran out of her room and her house, looking all around in the warm night for Summer.
“Summer!” I shouted, over and over.
My feet carried me around so many blocks, I couldnt find her.
Was she at her house? Probably.
I ran to it as fast as I could, collapsing on her lawn.
“Summer” I whispered, seeing the stars.
No answer.
