Petsitter - August 30, 2010 by eschapman11

One day in our small town, an ad went up on our town bulletin board. It said:

NEED: A petsitter?
Call: Eva Williams at 407-999-4362

I couldn’t believe my eyes! Eva Williams is my elder sister! She had always wanted a pet, or at least be a petsitter, but after what happened last year…. I didn’t think she would try again!
So you are wondering what happened last year, well let me take you back to two years first.
—————————————————————————————————
Eva has always LOVED animals, but mom is allergic to any pet hair, and my sister, even though it is true that she loves all animals would like to have something to hold. Eva also likes to write stories and is always looking for new story ideas.
One day we were at my Aunt’s house, and Eva was walking there dog Daisy, and I was walking next to her. Then I had a idea, “Eva you could write a story about a petsitter who on her first job, killed the dog!”
“What!”
“Not intentionally, but the dog ran out in the street or something.”
“Wwweeelll. But that does give me an idea! I could be a petsitter!”
Eva’s idea took a year to get off the ground, and she never did use my story idea.
——————————————————————————————————-
The same billboard post that is above appeared last year. Eva got a call a week after she put up the ad. The call was from Mrs. Granger, asking for Eva to watch her dog Lucky, which was a Mastiff. Eva was so happy I thought she might rip our house to pieces! They set up a time and Monday morning in the summer of 2010, Eva’s first client showed up.
————————————————————————————————————
Lucky was very hyper, but Eva was still excited. She fed Lucky and took her for walks. But the tragedy happened right in front of Mrs. Granger. Lucky was out side for a walk when luck ran super fast and jerked the leash out of her hand!
Luck ran out in front of Mrs. Granger’s car! Then Lucky got hit and died! Mrs. Granger was so mad she mad Eva buy her another Mastiff, and they are the most expensive dogs in the world! She finally raised $1,250.00, but she had to use the money she had been saving for an iPod touch. She was broken hearted. Not because she didn’t get a iPod touch, well that was part of it but I mean she LOVES pets, and she just killed one! So now you know why I was surprised when the ad went up this year.
—————————————————————————————————–
She got a call from somebody who had just moved in, and it went really well. So her petsitting career went well. She still loves pets and says she will always be a petsitter, and nothing tragic happened again!

Athena ~ Chapter Five: Hawk Gives Me Clues to His Powers - August 22, 2010 by raqshan
This entry is part 9 of 9 in the series Athena and the Benders

Sorry about not publishing Athena for a while. If you’ve read all of the other parts then, what are you reading this for? Go ahead and skip to the story. But if you haven’t read the other parts, then you should go back and read them so you know what the heck is going on in here.

Chapter Five: Hawk Gives Me Clues to His Powers

dog

The sky was dark with thunder clouds and as usual the sea was roaring and crashing against the sandy banks of the shore. A large bronze cage was buried in the sand. The surf washed away the sand that covered it and  I could see a boy with dark black hair and dark grey eyes trapped inside.
“Help!” the boy cried. At least he seemed to be talking but, his mouth moved but they didn’t make the shape of the words he was saying.

“Help me, someone!” he seeemed to be crying desperatly.

“Wait,” I yelled through the sound of the wipping wind,” I’m coming!”

“No!”

I woke up. It always happened that way, you know. I get to the part that is most important and then something wakes me up. I looked around the cabin. Last night, Annabeth had showed me to this bed and told me to wake up up at 8:30 for breakfast. I glanced at the large clock that hung over the closed cabin door. The small hand pointed to 8 and the long hand pointed to the 12. 8:12. I had 18 minutes to get ready.

I yawned and streched. It was only then that I noticed the golden lump that lay half buried in my side. Dispite myself, I smiled. I had never had a pet, see. Aphrodite was alergic to fur. The only animal I had ever had in my house was a fishbowl with five small goldfish. They were pretty and all, but goldfish can’t exactly play with you or snuggle up in your lap. Besides, they all jumped out of their bowl four days after we got them ’cause for some unknown reason the water had started to churn.

So as I was saying, the puppy was asleep when a name for him popped up in my mind. Hawk, I thought, I will name him Hawk.

Just as I was about to drift back to sleep, the cabin door was flung open and a girl’s voice called,” Rise and shine, Element Heads! The day is begining!” The girl had a British acent and her thick blonde hair was coloected into a ponytail.

“Oh, Laura!” Nelly moaned,” It isn’t even 8:20 yet!”

“Well,” Laura taunted,” Aren’t you sleepy today!”

“Nelly always sleepy!” Tancred joked,” I’m surpriesed she doesn’t fall asleep during sword practice!”  Nelly threw a feather pillow in his face.

Sword practice!?, I thought wildly. Then, I felt the small bottle of mascara that I had safely tucked into the pocket of the nightgown I had found on my bed.

“Athena!” Annabeth called from above me,” Get up, it’s your first full day at camp!”

“Yippe. Hooray.” Nelly called sarcasticly from her bunk,” Athena’s come to stay!”

“Oh, Nelly, stop being such a meanie!” the blonde girl teased. She walked over to my bed and I got up. “Hi, I’m Laura,” she introduced herself.

“Hi,” I said, shaking her out-streached hand,” I am Athena.”

“Nice to meet you, Athena!” Laura smiled,” I am your sword practice supervisor. You and your friends will be sword practicing with me after breakfast.”

She turned and to leave.” And, Athena,” she called,”Bring your sword and sheild with you!”

She exited the cabin and walked towards the mess hall.

“Ohhhhh, that is a really cute dog,” Annabeth cued. She was neeling next to me bed and stroking the dog. His long golden fur glinted in the sun light that poured from the open door. Annabeth’s fox was sniffling and nuzzling the puppy as a mother dog would her own pup.

“I think Grove’s motherly insticts are takeing over,” Tancred grinned. His Snow White Owl was perched on his shoulder. The tips of his wings and Tancred’s spiky blonde hair were both sparking with electricity.

Nelly snorted and said hotily,” Why such a normal animal. Aren’t you unique enough?”

I understood what she meant and my blood boiled with rage.

“Maybe your afraid that my normal water will put out everyone of your amazing fireballs?” I shot back.

Nelly frowned at me. Then she turned on her toes and stomped out. Her cyotea followed close behind.

“Don’t mind, Nelly,” Tancred yawned,” She’s always snooty with new-camers. Believe me, I had to go through it.”

He jumped out of bed and went over to the large dresser that had five seperate draws in it. The top one had a lable that read; Henry.

“Who’s Henry?” I asked. I noticed that the next one said; Nelly. The other three read Tancred, Annabeth and Athena.

“Henry was- is- one of us. He was Speeker of sky,” Annabeth explained sadly.

“What happened to him?” I asked.

“We’ll tell you later,” Tancred called cheerfully,” Right now, you need to change.”  He pointed to the bottom drawer. I walked over to the dresser and pulled my drawer open. Inside were new clothes all folded nice and neatly.

“Take your clothes to the bathroom and change there,” Annabeth told me. I looked at the clothes and chose a sea-green tanktop and dark blue skinny jeans.

I got up and the dog came up to me and wagged its tail. Dog. Why do I keep calling it dog?

“Come here, Hawk,” I called to the golden dog. He padded to the door next to me.

“Hawk? Is that his name?” Tancred asked and, together we walked to the bathrooms.

“Yes,” I said,” Do you like it?”

“Sure! It fits him.”

We reached the bathroom and split our seperate ways.

*********************************************************
When I finished changing I got out of the bathroom. Hawk was sitting on his haunches, waiting for me.
“Hay, buddy!” I called. He jumped up and raced over to me. Together we walked to the mess hall.

After breakfast, the four of us, Tancred, Annabeth, Nelly and I all gathered in a large arena. Around us, other immortals were traing as well.
“So, do you have your swords?” Laura asked. She herself held a long bladed bronze sword in her right hand. In her left she carried a bronze shield with an image of a eye in the center.
Slowly, I pulled the massacre bottle from my pocket. It felt smooth and cold in my hand. It’s golden surface glinted in the light. I uncapped the bottle and immediately, it grew into a long, dobble edged, golden sword in my hand. Then I noticed something that hadn’t been there.
In the changed handle, a swirling blue gem was attached to the hilt of the blade.
“Well, we all know what a Water Speaker’s sword looks like, now” Nelly snorted. She pulled out her own sword which had been designed to take the smaller shape of a flask. She pulled off the cap and the red tinted bottle changed to a red blade that had a wider angle rather than long.
The rest of us pulled out their swords. Annabeth had a one with a green tinted blade and hilt. Tancreds was silver with lightning bolts carved into the steel.
“Now each of you has to make your mascot also get out their weapon.” Laura said.

Heat Marathon - August 22, 2010 by Janine Golove

Florida has extremely hot summers. Once it was 135oF . Some people fainted and some people died. Though there was this one kid named Joey. He never sweat or fainted. People considered him as lucky but he had to do a lot before he became lucky. He played sports the whole day and everyday. He took cold showers to get used to the cold. He was awesome at basketball. He always scored a basket. One day the mayor invited him to join the 135oF marathon. He was satisfied to join. When he entered the marathon, he saw tons of bodybuilders and they were all men. He was worried about facing them. Though the good news was that they all had short legs. When the refereed said go he ran super fast, while the other men jogged because they couldn’t run as fast as Joey. Finally in ten minutes Joey won. He received a gold medal and he became the worlds fit and fast boy. Bodybuilders slacked off because the was too fast for them. Then he entered the 1995 Olympics and he was playing for America. Guess what, America won because of him. Then he became a role model for people. People started to become fit and healthy. Now Florida could face the heat.

Cinders Ella-The TRUE Story (Chapter 1) - August 20, 2010 by Calliope

Chapter 1

I woke up to the sound of horses’ hooves outside, only to notice the empty beds in front of me. There were no maids anywhere to be seen in the servants’ quarters..none at all. I suddenly realized that I must have   slept  at least three hours extra, because the sun shone through my small window.

Not wanting to know what Miss Watson, the head of servants would do if she found out that I wasn’t washing chamberpots or scrubbing floors or cleaning stables at this hour, I bit my lip and got dressed  as fast as I could.

But as I quickly walked through the hallway, careful not to make a sound, my bad luck had me bumping into Miss Watson in no time.I froze in place, and held my breath.

There you are! Lord Humphrey and I have been searching for you along with everybody else.I expect you have already finished the fifty-one chamberpots, twenty-seven floors and five stables?” Miss Watson was sure to make her voice sound completely innocent and sweet.I could not hold back anything. So I said, ” No madam I..have been…….in my bedroom the entire time…I have just…gotten out”. The words came out involuntarily.Miss Watson slapped my cheek. I was used to every one’s abusive words and beatings, but the slapping still stung my cheek. My instincts  told me to whack the witch back, but my brain told me to ‘stay calm’.

Then Miss Watson’s fake innocent look turned into her normal one, the one where her evil black beady eyes would be staring directly into yours, where her frowns and smirks and cold icy voice would capture most of her face. “Miss Ella, you have been clearly unhappy all the time, all the time you have been working here. Why is that? You ought to be on your knees right now, thanking us for all the kindness we have showed you. You deserve to be driven out right now, like the filthy dog you are! Would you like that, Ella?” Yes, I thought, I would.”However, out of the generosity of our hearts, we wouldn’t like to throw you out. But, be aware Ella, that we do not give second chances”.Miss  Watson’s beady eyes narrowed even further as she continued to make her “speech”,”Many young girls would absolutely die for your position here at Hampton Inn.You should be thankful! Now get to work this instant!”So I did. I scrubbed twenty-seven   floors, fifty-one chamberpots, and five stables for six hours, followed by some extra “punishment” work given by Miss Watson.

When all my work was finished, I was exhausted and worn out, not mentioning that I had calluses and blisters on my rough hands. My face was dirty and grimy with sweat and dirt, and I honestly smelled like a pigpen. So,I think you agree that I had the right to scream and cry and try to pull my black hair out.I was tired of pretending to be “Cinders-Ella-that-weird-girl-the-scullery maid”,because I just didn’t truly fit in with that description.

Suddenly,a peculiar comforting thought creeped inside my head, the sort of thought that old, superstitious ladies called “of the devil”.I was leaving this inferno, and I wasn’t coming back.

Lovly Nature - August 19, 2010 by Breanna

Stitting under an apple tree,
watching pink flowerous apple tree blossoms float swiftly down,
feeling the sun’s rays shine on me as if it were a spotlight on stage,
feeling the cool grass brisk and still dewy from the chilled night,
hearing the bird’s songs of lovly nature chirp to it’s aduince, me,
smelling the sweet smell of tender berries and delicate wild flowers,
then at the end of the day i mutter the same two words…

Lovly Nature.

Red Blade ~ Chapter One: Part One - August 18, 2010 by SilverLeaf
This entry is part 3 of 3 in the series Red Blade; The Heart of War

See characters and pronunciations.

(Alya)

Chapter One:

Water thundered down the steep cliff and into the crystal clear pool below. I am standing at the top of the embankment. My left leg bent backwards over my back and Ibalenced on my right leg. My right hand is locked onto my left leg, holding it up. I am balencing on my right leg, with my thumb pressed against her chest and the fourth and index fingure held up into a strait line.

I opened my eyes. From where I stood I could see across all of Ilelvea. The buildings are shped out of huge trees and streams run all over the city. Elves walk on the ground and on high rope bridges.

“Alya, consentrate,” a deep male voice intupts my thoughts. A middle aged elf who looks about 31 or 35 stood a few feet away. He has thick brown hair and hazel eyes. Around him is a cloak the color of a deep green pine.

I let my leg go and released a loud sigh, “Sorry master, but it’s hard to consentrate with you staring at me.”

The man shakes his head, “How are you going to learn to be a warrior if you can’t even do the Doru Areba (Doh-ruh Ahr-ebah)? “

I stare down at the city. Lanterns were being lighted and magical light balls floated next to their spell caster.

My master, Durion (Doo-ree-on), sighs again and said, “All right. I guess we should do some Talent Training before going in for supper.”

*********************Intermission Stars**************************************

The walkways of Ilelvea were made of cobble stone and the wooden lanterns cast a soft light across the road. Warriors, Merchants, Sword Smiths, and pedestrians walk up and down the roads. Above our heads, more elves walk across the rope bridges that conect the upper level of the city.

I made my way through the crowd of elves and finaly reached a medium sized building/tree. Wooden pillars that were mended into the upper and lower parts of the buildings held it up and windows let in cool breathes of air. Inside, elves sat at large wooden benches. This is the Aprentices’ Pavillion. We eat our breakfast, lunch, and supper here.

I walked up to the wooden counter top. Behind it, a rolly polly elf with scarlet red hair, stood.

“Alya!” the elf cried, “Good to see you.”

I smiled at her,” Hello, Garlien (Gahr-liehn).”

She served me my supper and I made my way with my tray to a table. My friends, Arwen (Ahr-wehn), Nithron (Nee-thronn), Herion (Hair-ee-on) were already sitting there.

I walked over to them and set my tray down in my usual place between Arwen and Nithron. Arwen is my age and she had long blonde hair just like mine that she always lets loose. Nithron has thick ginger hair that is cut short, exposing his pointed ears. Herion had white hair that falls into his blue eyes.

“Alya,” Nithron nods to me in that quiet way of his. I smiled at him.

Herion, sitting across from us looks at me. His electric blue eyes are as calm as always, “Good to see you,” he say and nods to me as well.

Arewn starts talking again. She’s a rather talketive elf. Still she’s a very good fighter. You don’t want to be in a taling of sword battle with her.

She’s talking about her sword practice now.

“Alya, want to take a walk in the forest with us?” Nithron asks.

“Sure,” I glance at him, “Why are we going?”

“I’m trying to imrove my plant magic skills,” he explains.

I nod, “All right. I’ll come.”

He smiled and goes back to his food and talking with Herion.

************************Intermision Stars*****************************

That night, the four of us head into the forest. It was dark, yes. But elf’s eyes sight is like a cat’s. We can see in the dark. Even so, we each have our own light globe we created out of magical means.

The trees we tall and their bark wasn’t exactly brown. It was tinted with red and a little green. Finally we reached a small grove where vines and other smaller plants had been planted. This was our Plant Magic Training Ground. Here was where apprentices practiced their plant magic skills.

Nithron got right to work on growing a grape vine onto a tall tree. I trained my self on a small lavender plant. I was trying to make the flowers sprout when I heard the voices. One femal and two male. Slowly, I lower my hands and krept over to Arwen. She was sitting on a log, trying to make a daisy bloom.

“Arwen,” I whispered, “Come here.” Together we tip-toed to a large tree and hid behind it. On the other side of the grove, my….sister Talathiel (Tahl-ah-thee-ell) stood. Her friends, Beinion (Bey-nee-on) and Rilien (Rill-ee-ehn) stood with her. The were whispering, but i could just make out what they were saying.

“The planned attack is going to be on the fourteenth moon, correct?” Talathiel asked.

“Correct,” Rilien said, “They won’t even be expecting it. No one knows about it but us.”

Behind me, I heard Arwen’s sharp in take of breath.

“So we should sharpen our knives until then,” Benion smiled. His dark black eyes glinted in the moon light, “The Queen won’t even expect it.”

My first Eva Poem : Drum Roll :

A little boy

No older than seven

each day at recess

sits and stares.

He watches in awe

as a girl plays

 her light pink dress

rustling like autumn leaves.

He sits there each day,

and stares,

until Godzilla and his buddies come

and shove him down the slide

head first.

He watches until he feels a push,

and sees the ground growing near

He watches, till he screams in terror,

Till he feels the painful burn,

and gingerly rubs his red and bruised arms.

Until he wails in pain,

as he sees blood trickling over his skin

until he sees her watching him

and tears of shame come.

Then he pushes himself up,

looking sadly at the floor

and trudges of,

another shadow encircling his breaking heart.

another day,no different than any other,he watches her again

now more somber than before,

yet awe still clear in his eyes.

She glances up and smiles,

but he hides his face in shame,

her smile fades, and those beautiful eyes

look puzzled.

Then he feels a prod,

and stares up,up high, and sees Godzilla,

then the sky spins overhead,as he goes down,

tears already in his eyes,

another shadow of a million,

adding to the steadily growing cloak of darkness,

and the desire for revenge expands hand in hand with the darkness

Then, she is standing over him,her face contorted with worry,

she looks at him sadly, then extends her hand

he scoots away,suspicious.

The sadness in her face intensifies, then she looks up at Godzilla,

her face a mask of fury.

she stomps of,towards the teacher,

a few sharp brisk words, and Godzilla is gone.

She smiles her dazzling smile at him, like a ray of light,

that shattered the forming darkness and desire,

her hand is out again,he takes it,smiling

her smile grow wider, and she asks

for the first time in his life,

she asks,for him to play.

That night he goes to his parents,

who meet him expecting silent glares, yet he smiles

that night he chatters away,

as if trying to catch up on all that time of silence

then asks, what makes them stay together.

They smile, and show him the gold rings around their fingers.

That day at recess,he sits, and watches her smile and play,

then remembers the candies in his pockets

he takes them out, noticing they are melted

unwraps the gold and silver foil

and licks the chocolate happily of,

then a thought strikes him,

he rolls the foil up into a snake,

then makes a circle out of it,and puts it on his finger.

He eats the other candy, and makes another circle

then climbs down the ladder.

she looks at him and smiles.

He waves smiling back,

she skipps over to him,

he sheepishly asks for her hand,

and slips the band onto her finger

she smiles wider and pecks him on the cheek.

                                                …

in what seemed like no time at all,

he stares in awe as she walks to him,in a flowing white dress,

before he know it they are saying ‘I do’

and then he is told to get the rings.

he takes out a small box out of his pocket, and opens it,inside is the foil ring

the crowd murmurs in disapproval

but she laughs in delight, and smiles widely,

as he slips the ring over her finger.

Cinderella-The TRUE Story (Preface ) - August 16, 2010 by Calliope
This entry is part 1 of 3 in the series Cinderella-The TRUE Story

Preface

I have always been the filthy scullery maid at Hampton’s Inn as long as  I remember. It was dirty work, made for the lowest of the low servants, as I expected, because nobody ever had great expectations of a scrawny petite girl, who kept her mouth shut most of the time to be actually considered mute. Nobody had great expectations… except me.

Of course I didn’t complain, no matter how disgusting and unjust  my life was. I kept my mouth shut, in fear of screaming all the nasty things people had yelled at me.Because inside of me, I was an angry pot filled to the brim , ready to spill over any minute. The only thing that helped me not give the landlord the handful that he deserved was my daily thought:”Someday they’ll be poor and I’ll be rich, and they’ll have to scrub floors and clean chamberpots.Someday I’m leaving this place”. I never thought my daydream would ever happen, but one day…it did.

I screwed my eyes shut pretending to cry in misery. I could not be silent this long, the previous conversation had fled my mind. “Deilian?” I blurted out a bit loudly. He turned to me.”Y e s?” “Zador said that I could move things with my mind but I can’t.” Deilian stopped suddenly which made me skid to a stop. I walked back to him.”I think he meant a far more useful and powerful gift then moving physical things with your mind.” I sat down. “what do you mean?”" I believe he meant a very rare gift,I am certain he’d  have plenty that could move things with their minds in his armies.I think that you have a gift of moving memories between things and people, and perhaps since he came personally get you , it must be powerful enough to move gifts,to a certain extent. And you see how that would be useful.”He said sitting down next to me. I nodded slowly, pursing my lips thoughtfully, “Don’t you have a sister?”He asked for what seemed to be no reason.I grimaced  “Yes a very wicked and twisted sister at that.”  He moaned, which I found to sound quiet odd. “is, is that bad?” I asked suddenly worried. He nodded “You see,if one has a gift and is biologically related to another, like a sister or brother,it is guarantied that their relative will also have a gift. One has  a weak gift so does the other,One has a rare and powerful gift…”  “…So does the other.” I finished,my stomach churning with fear for the first time in decades.

I smiled in vague relief as I felt the burn in my throat fade.In a few minusculemoments we had a hole dug and the corpses in it,in the next we had the hole filled and covered with grass as if nothing had ever happened.I turned on my heals and began to slowly walk away, whistling tunelessly.Suddenly I bumped into Deilian. He gave me a meaningful  look then nodded towards the grave. I stuck out my tounge  but walked back over to it.I glanced at Deilian who was beside me,then put my hands togather in a mockpraying stance. He shook his head looking at the sky as if he wished lightning would strike me,not that it’d hurt.I grinned at him then cleared my throat.” Um you were good guys even though I only knew you for,um, yeah. And I am sorry to your families i hope they ugh, ugh” I thought then put up my hand and made a V with my fingers. “Live well and prosper” Then I smiled widely at Deilian, who glared at me silently. He stepped forward and looked down at his feet.”You came out this day, thinking it another day of your life, which has now been taken to sustain other lives. The world has a delicate balance and it rarely offers a way around that.Your lives were spent with care and mind on your part….”SO on so forth, soon he trailed of into Latin, then Greek, then ancient Arabic, then who knows, goat? Finally after what seemed like an hour, literally,he looked up. “I am NEVER going hunting with you again.”I said gritting my teeth “You won’t have a choice.”He said smiling. Then we ran.”So,who is Zador exactly?”I asked cocking my head. Deilian turned grim.”He is one of the Lords,And is quiet unworthy of the title.”He said coldly “Are the Lords like the Volturi?”I asked He looked at me quizzically “Like the what?” “Remember I told you about Stephanie Meyer?” “Of coarse I remember.” I held up my hands “Just an expression.” A grunt. “The Volturi are like the rulers of the Vampires, they have this huge army of vampires, alot of them gifted, and they keep order and secrecy in the world.”I said. He nodded “I see,yes they are much like that, but each lord is in charge of a Nation, and Zador has stired up a war beetween the Nations, all eight of them, well actually five now, three fell.”We jumped over a log.”Are we part of a Nation?” I asked. He shook his head”We are ones of the few loners, most have been rounded up into Nations. It’s no different really, you just have to stay on your Nation’s land or you are killed.”I nodded absorbing this new knowledge”Do the Lords change?” Deilian narrowed his eyes “Not usually, the lords are chosen and stay lords.”My eyes grew wide “They chose Zador?”I asked He shook his head smilign darkly “I said they don’t change normally.” I shook my head, confusion weaving itself through my head like tendrils of smoke”does Zador  have a gift,is that how he became a lord?”Deilian chuckled”if you consider dirty play a gift then yes.”He said his voice  sharp like steel, cold like ice. I had never heard him speak like that before and  it frightened me,I could have sworn I felt a chill.I asked no more questions for a while

He stared at her for a second  “Whats so special about you, except for the freakishly pale skin.”He asked leaning against the table. “well the skin isn’t that different from yours,”At this he looked down at his arm and his eyes grew wide again.” I am thousands of years older then you, and, well I’ll show.”With that the shadows of the wall, the table the chair, her and Itzcóatl grew and lengthened until every single millimeter of the rooms was black.Tendrils of Darkness snaked form the floor and walls, joining each other in an elaborate dance, which sped up and they became whirling streaks, and soon the dance turned into what looked to be jumbled chaos.A  gale whipped up,tugging at their clothes and hair.Suddenly everything froze, and there seemed to be light, but it wasn’t like sunlight or electric light, well there was no light, just some sort of illumination.Soon what seemed to be a mess of figures became trees and a rushing stream, the trees leaves rustled and the grass swayed in the gentle breeze.  Itzcóatl stepped forward and ran his hand over the rough bark,it felt like any other real tree, the only thing that showed that the forest wasn’t real ws the fact that it was all shades of black and grey.He walked over to the stream and saw small sparkling grey fish dashing by. He looked at Silvia. “Can the water be drank?” She looked at him “Such horrid grammar.” He puffed out his cheeks. “well how would you say it,Mrs.Know-it-all?” She rolled her eyes ” ‘Could someone drink the water?’ Mr.Three-years-old.” He mumbled something to himself, which Silvia could hear just fine, but wasn’t even words, again.”So can they?”He asked again “No.”"Why?”She clicked  her fingers and what looked to be a silhouette of a man appeared,in it’s hands it held a real human. The silhouette dropped the man then was gone. “Drink.”Sivia commanded the human and he did. He watched  in horror as  veins of blackness crawled all over his body, and soon concealed any remains of the man, then they seemed to unintwine themselves  and fleet to the shadows like frightened snakes, melting into the surroundings. Then everything was gone and we stood in the gray room again.Silvia smiled at him”And there is much more, that was just a taste.”Itzcoalt chewed his lip thoughtfully.”Can I see something else?”He asked unsure if he really wanted to.Silvia nodded”Just one more thing then,Hmm,ah I know, maybe two,I really enjoy the second one.”With a flick of her wrist a dozen silluhets appeared, one walked up to him, picked him up and tossed him onto the table as if he were as light as a feather, the others circled him, like eager observers. The one that had thrown him leapt onto the table next to him, while four of them held Itzcoalt down,it crouched near him,and extended one clawed finger, the claw grew to about four inches long, curved and sharp,it ran the claw lightly over his skin, but it left a light gash.Itzcoalt writhed, but the sillhuets hands on him felt like sinder-blocks.The claw ran over his throat, then paused and began presing deeper and deeper. He  gasped in pain, then the silluets disolved and he sat up in a hurry.Silvia stood there smilign at him.”Are you crazy?” She shook her head “You wanted a demonstration, now for the second thing.”He shook his head violently”Oh no!”She grinned “Don’t worry you won’t be harmed.”He backed awa near the door then said fine”Fine.”She nodded.then a wortex of shadow incircled her, untill that was all to be seen,it expanded and shrunk, then as it churned whisps began separating and disolving, and in her place there was a shimmering black dragin, which soon focused and became a true figure.”Still me still have my mind but a dragons power.”It hissed.Itzcoalt gritted his teeth”Why can’t she be the Soul Weevil?”He muttered

Silvia sat there as she had for three days and five hours. She had not blinked a single time in those day,but watched the form on the table silently. Finally the form stirred and moaned. She was by the table in an instant.”M-my head.” He moaned again,he ran his hand over his ginger-brown hair then  clutched his scull as if he wanted to crush it.”It will be sore for an hour or two, but it will pass.”Silvia told him in a soothing tone “Pass?PASS?”He yelled his voice rising to hysteria “I will die before it passes.”He yelled”Oh your exaggerating.”She said waving her hand impatiently. He stared at he as if she were   crazy.”EXGATURATING ?!?Have you ever felt it?”Silvia sighed “Yewa.”He looked at her smugly.”I thought not,if you had you wouldn’t say I was exaggerating.”He said putting his hands on his hips. She rolled her eyes “For one,you idiot,I said Yes,Y-E-S,used as a function word to express assent or agreement. And two:It seems to not hurt anymore.”She said.He opened and closed his mouth like a fish.”I,ugh um,Suppressed it,yeah.”He said smiling at his own cleverness.Silvia rolled her eyes again”Itzcoalt-”"How do you know my name?!”He shouted, his eyes growing wide. She hit her forehead with the palm of her hand. Then took a deep breath”I know much more than your name, and I am going to tell it to you,and if you interrupt me one more time you won’t have a tongue anymore.”She said slowly.”Your bluffing.”He said,in a flash she was beside him,a curved black knife at is throat” Or I might not even bother with a tongue, just cut your throat. You can find out if you wish.” She said a smile playing across her lips. He leaned away from the knife.”nah I’m fine” She sat back down in the chair.”Alrighty then,You know your name, Itzcoalt. It means Obsidian Serpent,or Serpent of Obsidian in Aztec.Your family is from a line of Aztec Shamans, and you have a gift, most accurately called Soul Viewing.”She said.He cocked his head.”Soul Weevil?” Silvia blinked “What? Soul Weevil?”That doesn’t even sound like what I said. This isn’t one of your petty comedy movies,You idiot! And now that I think about it,Soul Weevil would be more fitting”. He mumbled something to himself, which wasn’t even words. “You shure like the word Idiot.”He said. “Only because it fits you.Now was your miniature brain stretchy enough to wrap around that?”She asked and not waiting for an answer continued” No?I didn’t think so,I hope it managed to stretch around the most important parts at least.”Itzcoalt folded his arms “It IS stretchy enough For Your Information.”He said, then “Hey wait,it isn’t miniature!” Silvia raised an eyebrow.”What?”He asked. She shrugged “Oh nothing.”

See characters and pronunciations.

Two elves stood under the moon light. One female and one male. The female wore a long green dress that looked light. Her long dark hair fell down her back in her back in soft curls. She pointed ears were hidden under a wreathe of pink flowers. The male was wearing a green tunic, who’s color matched the females dress. He also wore a wreathe, but this one was made up of multicolored leaves. The two were each standing one a large plate that was shaped to look like a leaf. The female’s dress’s train hung over the edge and almost touched the ground. They stood their for a few minutes.

Elves gathered around to watch the wedding ceremony. An old elf by the name of Melda (Mehl-dah) stepped forward. She raised her head and spoke, “All of whom have gathered tonight! The world is not a peaceful place. Fights rage everyday, yet we must keep reproducing. So, even though it isn’t a peaceful time we came here to adjoin these two, young elves.”

She turned to the couple, “Now we will join hands.”

The two elves crossed wrists and the elderly elf tied them together with a strip of spring green ribbon.

Green Blades of Grass ~ Summer Contest - August 11, 2010 by SilverLeaf

Winter’s gone

And so is Spring

Summer comes with an open breeze

The snow has melted

The flowers have bloomed

Now it’s time for rainbows and colors

One things stays the same, though

Green, green, green blades of grass

The sun’s going away

Summer has ended

Now comes Fall with some shivering breezes

Leaves roll across the wide roads

Their colors a mixture of red and purple

One small thing still remains, though

There are still; Green, green, green blades of grass

Now Fall’s gone and the cycle starts again

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall

Those are the Seaons

That’s all……..

Random Poem By Kittekat - August 10, 2010 by Kittekat

Four little bats hanging in a tree,

One went plop and so did the other three.

Three little alligators floating in a lake,

out came a woman and hit two with a rake

Two little sparrows flying in the sky,

one saw a worm and cryed out “My!”

One little dog, barking at a cat.

The cat gave a hiss and yowled,

 ”you think you’re all that?”

The great Bane~Summer Contest~ - August 10, 2010 by Tania

Humanities great bane is thought to be many things, from Illness to Love to power.Yet in truth it is only one thing:Thought.Yet how can a thing,so dear to humanity, the thing that nurses us through life, that brought us here and moves us forward,be the great Bane of us?It is only beautiful when muffled by our control over it,yet when it takes control of you you see the truth. In many cases you only see the truth when you make the wrong choice, when you make the right choice you only see the mistake you did not make. The wrong choice showed me the truth.

Fog snaked around me like some preying beast that could barely restrain itself. It ran it’s cold damp fingers through my hair, and whispered to me in soothing tones, drawing me to my death.Yet I resisted.I had been wandering for hours hoping to find shelter and had let my imagination roam free.At one point of time I thought that I saw a group of people, people with claws and large bat like wings, which I ran from, but which turned out to be Lightning struck trees.I now  stumbled onward with my eyes closed, for they burned of the lack of an object to focus on.Something sharp and thing wound itself about my throat and I cried out in pain, and opened my eyes,to realize it was a branch.I felt my throat,it was wet, with something warm and thick. I looked at my hand, which was partly red, then at the branch.Just when I close my eyes I need them.I shook my head but trudged on.Then I aw something that send my heart  beating faster then helicopter blades. In front of me stood a small chapel. It almost seemed to shine with a bright white light.I did not even hesitate before running into the welcoming glow.I ran through the doorway and fell to my hands and knees, then sank to the ground. The coldness spread through my body carrying away the pain.I closed my eyes and sleep took me.I stood,in a place that was nothing. There was a beautiful maiden in front of me.She smiled and put her hands out welcomingly.A single thought lashed through my head.Take her hands, the right choice.I Clenched my teeth. The though pulsed again, this time not gentle like a caressing feather, but commanding, lashing at my mind like a whip.My hand twitched toward hers, but I did not move.NO. I managed to think, the maiden flinched with the weight of my word. Then her smile turned into a scowl,I would have never though a scowl could be so terrifying, then her whole face twisted as if in a soap bubble, but it was no longer the cheerful colors of the rainbow. It was a somber figure,it’s shell of control broken. It was grey and black and white and had the texture of wet paper. It’s pure black eyes glinted with malice,it bared it teeth in a horrible grin,it’s clawed hands reaching out to me hungrily. WRONG CHOISE It belowed in my mind, the thought twisted my mind into knots making me drop to the floor, limp with pain. I managed to push the thought out and shakily got to my feet.I felt no fear,no joy no excitement,I did not let emotions in,I simply stood. The creatures grin diminished. It gets it’s power from the dark emotions of humans,Hate ,Jealousy,Longing. And to the thing also Love,Excitement,Happiness were considered dark.I knew because I felt, the thing was part of me,yet which part I did not know.At this sudden realisation it’s form flared, expanding and folding in upon itself, then separating.I heard it’s thoughts as if they were my own.It became many colored ribbons of pink and red and violate. The beautiful soothing yet passionate colors of love, yet I saw the darkness of love that the creature strives on.The bands twirled and spun entwined and separated, became one then  thousands,in an elaborate dance, yet they did not turn over did not show their other sides, but the creature forced them to turn, and there were sickly shades of green and somber greys,The sight would have made one writhe in discomfort, and that was when I realized that I was nothing, that was why I did not feel,I did not think, and then I realized that the thing, that horrid thing, was thought.Thought is a beautiful and darling thing when we control, but when we loose our power over it.It becomes a vile and wicked thing.Breaking you into a puzzle, then reassembling you in unmatching  and twisted ways,Until you fit in no place or world.Suddenly everything was gone, there was only darkness. The thing was nothing, yet everything at the same time, then in the darkness I could see an indistinct shape,it wound it coils around me,probing fear and uncertainty into my mind,But I fought. As it wound it’s coils about me,I took them,I controlled them, and unknowingly I was regaining control of it,and then I was awake, and then there was nothing, for I was only thought and memory.

Lost at Air - August 9, 2010 by jenny

                                    Sanaa

                             (Point of View)

I pushed open the car door as a large gust of wind blew fall leaves towards the large building, otherwise known as the airport. The building was made of glass and I could see brilliant white light emanating from the windows. My family, my mother, father, evil, oops, I mean, little brother, Faizan, got out of the car. My dad started looking around and my mom wrote down our parking lot number.

“You know,” I called to them, “We’re never going to get home if we set foot in that building.”

“Oh?” my mother replied absentmindedly,” Why do you think that, Sanaa?”

“Well, just take a look at that parking lot!” I cried, gazing at the expanse of cars that stretched to my right and left as far as I could see.

“Maybe,” my brother said, “you’ll get lost!”

The airport door slid open as my father pushed the button. Inside, I saw that the Los Angeles Airport resembled a circus.

There was a tall man in a top hat that looked like Abraham Lincoln arguing with rotund woman who was holding the, probably sticky hand of small toddler. There was a teenage girl about Sanna’s age, wearing a neon green jacket with neon yellow pants. Her hair was tied into five ponytails held by bright NEON pink hair bands.

As we made our way through the odd assortment of people, I caught a glimpse of a long, long, LONG line ahead of us. When we reached the booth I saw that is said; TICKET LINE, in large, bold print.

“Are we really going to stand in that line?” I asked.

“Well, we have to,” my father shrugged and stepped into the line.

Just as we were getting into the line, when a man, running and muttering like the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland squeezed in front of us.

                                 Faizan

                           (Point of View)

Faizan was tired. Slowly he slid the Nintendo DS he wasn’t supposed to have, out of his pocket and started play “Star Wars” the game. After at least half and hour, he closed it and looked around. The line hadn’t moved much….

                                           Sanaa

                        (Point of View)

After half an hour, I was at the breaking point. I spotted a chair and dove for it. The chair was metal, but to me, it felt like feathers. I closed my eyes and fell asleep…

I woke with a start as a gruff voice said, “Wake up, young lady.”

I opened my eyes to see a young man shaking me.

“What?” I asked groggily.

“Why are you asleep?” he asked.

“I don’t know. I’m waiting for my parent at the ticket line…” I glanced at the booth as gasped. Only four couples were standing in line and NONE of them was my family!

I jumped up fast, startling the man.

Obviously, the man sensed that change in my mood. One moment, I was a sleepy 12 year old and the next moment I was a startled girl, all ALONE in the airport!

“Aren’t your parents here?” he asked.

“My, my parents are gone…”

“Well? Come on then. Let’s go and find them!” he smiled and called to another man, “Hold my place for me, Marty. I’ve got to get this girl to her family!”

About fifteen minutes later, we entered flight 24 and there, lo and behold, was my FAMILY!

“Is that them?” the man asked, following my gaze.

“Yes!” I cried running to them.

My brother was speaking quickly to my parents, “She isn’t around here!”

“You guys! I’m right here!” I cried.

“My mom turned to look at me, then at my brother, “See, I told you she wasn’t lost.

Our Story…. - August 8, 2010 by raqshan

unicorn

This is my Contest post, but since you have to write in one post it’s rather long.

I know you’re thinking. We’re not real, right? We don’t exist? We’re just fantisiesed creatures used to delight five year old girls? Well, guess what, you’re wrong. We were real alright. As real as fairies and as pegasusas and all the other things you guys call make-believe. We were the Unicorns and this is our story.

First let me introduce myself. I am Mystic Breeze. I was chosen by the Unicorn Counsel to speak with you. (I will explain why later) I am an 100 year old unicorn whch in the short span of an human’s life equals to being an teenager. About 13 or 14. I have a white coat and white tail and mane.

Anyway, about us. We lived on Earth. Back when the humans only covered up a small portion of the space. The woods were pleantyful and the streams and fresh water was not poluted. We lived a pretty good life compared to Earth’s condition now. Anyway, the trouble all started one Spring….

Moon Rise (a fellow Unicorn) and I were patrolling our borders. Not for humans,no, from Janters. Janters are these really big rat looking things. Except that they’re the size of bears and have sharp teeth and claws. Janters like to eat Unicorn Foals. As I was saying, Moon Rise and I were patrolling our borders, when we caught a rotten smell. It wasn’t a Janter though. Janters smell like berries, which is surpriesing, considering all the meat they eat. We pricked our ears and listened.

“Do you hear anything?” Moon Rise asked.

“Yes, it’s not a Janter, though,” I told her. Slowly the thing came closer. Moon  (call her that for short) and I stepped into our fighting stance. Suddenly a..what do you call them? Ah, yes, a dog came through the brush and bumped right into our legs.

“What in Rainbows?” I asked.

“Um..I’m sorry,” the dog mummbled,” I didn’t mean to..that is I was only…”

“Stop bubbleing and tell us what you were doing in our woods,” Moon snapped. She was really angry. Her grey tail swished wildly.

” I was, that is, I didn’t mean to intrude,” he said, his words were still in a jumble.

“What is your name,” I asked smoothly.

“Damper, miss,” he murrmered.

“And how old are you?”

“4 and a half month to be exact.”

“And what are you doing in our territory,” Moon put in,” Didn’t your mother ever tell you about not blundering in these woods? A Janter could have got you.”

“Sorry,” he mummbled,” But the Stable Horses sent me.”

“The Stable Horses?” I asked. The horses own by the humans? They were our reletivs, but they never contacted us.

“Yes, ma’m. They said that I should tell the Queen the message.”

“You want to see the Queen?” Moon asked scornfully,” A dog. In the Court Arena?”

“If youwon’t allow it then….” he turned to go.

“No, no,” I said hurriedly. I looked at Moon,” If he has a message for the Stable Horses, then it must be urjent.”

I looked at Damper,” It is a matter of urjency, is it not?”

“Of course,” he said polietly,” The Stable Horses said-”

“Leave what the stable horses’ message for the Queen,” Moon said.

She turned and stomped through the brush.

I smiled at Damper apolegeticly,” She doesn’t like outsiders.” We followed Moon to a large clearing at, leat as large as middle easter castle usually are, and strotted in. More than 100 Unicorns grazed and talked and goofed around.

“Wow,” Damper breathed,” The Stable Horses told me stories about this place, but I never imagined….”

I nickered,” Well, I’d really like to meat a Human, but I guess that’s no novalty to you!”

Damper laughed softly. I lead Damper across the clearing and past homes and shops. (Yes, we Unicorns have our Blacksmith and Storytellers). Then we approached an arch. It was tall. Tall enough for a horse to walk through. It was covered in ivy and had a ivy covering the entrence.

“Come on,” I nodded towards the gate. Slowly, Damper pushed past the ivy and entered. I followed closely behind. Inside, we were greeted by a peach colored Unicorn. My sister, Heather Heart. Heather thinks she is the most pretty and important Unicorn in the whole world! She always shoves the fact that she’s the Queen’s right-hand lady, while I’m one of the Queen’s warriors in my face. I usually ignore her.

“Hello, Mystic,” Heather said in her usual mocking tone.

“Heather,” I nodded curtly.

“Who’s…your friend?” she asked with distaste as she noticed Damper.

“This is Damper,” I introduce them,” Damper, my sister, Heather Heart.”

“Oh, an outsider. Why did you bring him here?” she asked.

“I..I have a message for your Queen, miss,” Damper stammered.

“The Queen. Not Your Queen. The Queen. Show some resepect you flee bag,” Heather snorted.

“Heather! He is our guest! Treat him politly,” I growled,”I don’t see him calling you a Stuck-up-no-good-selfish-prissy-main-comber.”

“Huh!” Heather snorted,”Come.”

She lead us into another clearing. This one was smaller and in the center a pong shimmer in the sun. On the bank, the Queen, Crystal Night, was helping a small foal, drink from the pond.

I had seen this ristual. I had gone through it. Every Unicorn had to drink from the pond. Why? That’s not a big secret. Listen.

We waited a distance away and watched. The Queen nuged the small foal towards the pond. The foal was like every other newborn foal. Clear and see-through. Every-newborn foal is color-less until they drink from the Pond of Geniva. The pond gives them their color and later, when they become at least 100 years old  (13 or 14  in human ages), they drink from the pool again and get their powers.

The Queen nugged the foal again and it gave in, sipping up some of the water. I knew how it tasted. Like the best berries in the forest. Like the sweet milk of of your mother. Honey, grass and lots of other good things all behind the taste of fresh water. The foal shimmer and its coat turned to jet black. A small cresent appered in the center of its forehead.

“I, Queen Crystal Night, hereby claim you as one of my subjects. Shall you live a long and strong life and never stray from your home. I name you Cresent Fighter.” the Queen made her speech.

The foal’s mother, a white mare stepped from a corner of the arena. She strotted over to Cresent Fighter and nussled him. The two, mother and son, then left the arena. That’s when Crystal Night, Queen of the Unicorn saw us.

“Mystic Breeze? How may I assist you?” she asked in her sweet way.

“Not me, Your Highness, but Damper, Dog of Castles. He brings a message from the Stable Horses.”

Crystal glanced at Damper,” Come. We shall get comfertable before the message is reseved.”

The Queen lead us to a small grove of thick, fluffy grass. “Please, sit.”

Damper and I lay down. My legs were crossed under my body, but Damper’s front legs were sprawled out in front of him. His hing legs were under his body.

“Well,” Crystal Night aked,” What did you think of our Coloration Ceremony, Damper?”

“It..it was very…unique,” Damper stammered.

The Queen laughed,” I see. So what is this message you have for me?”

“It’s very bad news, I’m afraid,” Damper said,” The humans that live in the castle, they found a Unicorn Body.”

“What?” Crystal demanded,” What is this you are saying?”

“They were digging, miss,” Damper looked scared, as if he’d said something wrong,” I don’t know what for, but they found one of your dead. They body was nothing but bones, but the horn..the horn…”

He broke off.

“They found one of Disgraced,” the Queen mrmmured,” Ones who have dihonored the Counsil and the whole population of Unicorns. All the Unicorns’ that die, their horns are added to the Ball of Spirits. But the Disgraced are forgotten so they are buried with their horns.”

I satered at the Queen. I had never heard of the Disgraced.

“What did they do with the horn?” the Queen asked.

“They created a sword,” Damper said. He might as well have stabbed every single Unicorn in the heart (which by the way is the only way to completely kill an Unicorn) and not even added our spirts to the Ball of Spirts.

“A sword?” Crystal Night asked,” They created a sword with a Unicorn Horn?”

“Yes they call it the Viper Blade. It’s handle is designed into a viper and the blade is shiny and glows like a Unicorn’s horn,”

Both of us gasped. “Why have they created it?” I asked, dreading the answer.

“The Stable Horses said, it was to kill more Unicorns for more of their horns.”

Silence. Not the kind of peaceful silence you get on a warm summer night. No, this was a dreadful silence. The kind that makes you want to leave or make the whole forest explode with sound.

Suddenly the Queen was on her feet,” I must call an emergency meeting! The Council and every Unicorn in this glade!” She rushed to her outer room.

“I’m sorry,” Damper murrmered,” I didn’t mean to upset her.”

I smiled at him,” Don’t worrie, we’ll sttle everything soon.”

He smiled at me,” You’re Mystic Breeze, right?”

“Yes, and the Queen is Crystal Night,” I told him.

Just then the Queen returned,” I told Heather Heart to tell everyone about this insident. Will you two spread the news?”

“Of course, your majesty,” I stood up and bowed. Bending on of my forelegs I bent my head till it touched the ground.

We left the arena and sped around the gldes and meadows telling Unicorns about the Emergency Meeting.

“What’s it about,” most of them asked. We had to tell them that all we could say was that it was very dangerous matter.

“Probably the Janters,” someone muttered,” I hate those things.”

We had told everyone by sunset. By then everyone was heading to the Meeting Pavillion.

We followed them and reached the Pavillion. Well, it wasn’t exactly a Pavillion. It was really 200 trees bent by magic to create a cover over the large space of land from the sun and light. We entered the mossy area and looked around. i saw gas lamps hissing and sparking in all corneres, creating an orengy glow in every space of the Pavillion. I stood next to a large rock. It had a sort of cliff and the Queen was standing right on the ledge.

“Unicorns! Foals! Welcome to this meeting. I apolagize at the unplanned sceduale. The matter however came up at the hight of noon.” the Queen calledm,” I will get right to the point.”

She explained about the way Damper had come and told her about the Vipor Blade. Then she said something she hadn’t told me,” I have a solution! There is a wizard named Maldred who lives in these woods. He can help us. I shall send two Unicorns to his cottage and, if he will accept, i want to send the dog who bravely brought this message to us.” She looked at Damper.

“O-of course,” Damper stammered.

“Who are the two Unicorns?” a voice from the crowd asked.

“Since Mystic Breeze brought the dog to me, she shall go, and the other shall be Fair Star,” Crystal Night answered.

I smiled. Fair Star was a nice horse. The Queen dismissed the meeting.

***********************************

Later that night, we met the Queen in her arena.

“You three can’t leave on foot. The trip would take too long,” Crystal said, pacing back and forth.

“I know,” she said,” We’ll talaport you!”

“Cool,” I murmured.

We all stood in a triangular shape and the Queen bagan to chant,” Away with you, away with you! Somewhere else you should be. Through the forest and past the stream to a cottage of the the Magic Dweler!” A brilliant flash of light surounded us. Then when it faded, we were standing in front of a small cottage. An old man sat in a chair on the porch cried,” Stick a sword in a Unicorn’s heart, what on Earth are you doing here?”

“We are sorry, Wizard Maldred,” Fair said politley,” We need your help. I think Queen Crystal Night has informered you.”

“Yes,” Maldred sighed,” A great danger has befallen your kind.”

We didn’t know what to say so we were silent.

“Oh, confound it! I will help you! I’ve desided to open a gate to Until.”

“Until?” I asked,” What is that?”

“Not ”What is” its a “Where”, ” he said,” Until is a world without humans, though”

“When are you going to open it and where?” I asked.

“I will open it imedietly, that is, as soon as you keep your side of the bargin.”

“What do you want?” Fair asked.

“Have you not noticed? All the magic and happines comes from the Unicorns, if they leave, then all the magic will be gone and the happiness will be drained.”

“What can we do?” I asked.

“One Unicorn has to stay on Earth. The magic won’t come back, but the hapiness will remain faintly,” Maldred said.

We were silent. I thought of my family and the forset and the danger that threatened us. If one did not stay then all would be killed. I knew I couldn’t let that happen so that is the reason I volenteered myself. The Unicorns all went to Until. So did all the other magical creatures, when they were threatened. Only I and one of every magical creature remain. I roam the woods, keeping the hapiness from fading.

I am Mystic Breeze and I was chosen to tell you this. That we were the Unicorns, and this was Our Story….

Thanks!! I really hope you liked it :D
