True Seer - April 14, 2010 by raqshan
This entry is part 1 of 4 in the series True Seer

Hey! I am writing this only to see how you guys like it. Write comments if you think I should or shouldn’t write this. If you say I should this might become a series.  P.S. Tell me is I should change anything.

:D

Part #1

Have a good first day, Aria,” my mother called from the open window of her car. I mumbled back a reply. I pushed a lock of my jet black hair behind my ear as I entered the large door of Creek Bridge Middle School. Kids were chatting and making a loud racket.  I felt the piece of paper in my hand. My locker was #112 and my combination was 53018. As I made my way through the halls I felt eyes glancing curiously at me. I found my locker and put in the combo.

“You’re new right?” a voice from the locker next to mine asked. I knew with out having to look that it was a boy who had addressed me.

“Ya,” I replied, “I am new.” When I turned to him I could feel a moment of shock emanating from him, but he got himself under control. I knew what had startled him. He had seen my eyes. One was violet and the other was gray. I had  felt as though the kids at my old school had never let me fit in. I hoped the kids here would be different.

“Are you okay?” the boys voice sounded concerned.

“Yes,” I said turning back to my locker, “Why wouldn’t I be?”

“Well…” he sounded unconformable, “Your eyes are, well, kinda glazed, like you couldn’t see me.”

I turned back to him as I closed my locker, “I can’t, ” I told him, “I am blind.”

“How are you going to find your class?”

I shrugged. I hadn’t thought of that.

“Who’s your homeroom teacher?” he asked.

“Mr.Fielder.” I replied.

“Cool,” he said, “he’s my homeroom teacher too. I could walk with you to class.”

I nodded. I’d like that.

As we walked to class he asked,” What’s your name?”

“Aria. Aria Contrue.” I answered, “And yours?”

“My name is Jake, but everyone calls me J,” he replied.

That’s how I first met my to-be best friend. He helped me most on my mission.

True Seer Part #2 - April 15, 2010 by raqshan
This entry is part 2 of 4 in the series True Seer

Hi! I’ve decided to continue writing : True Seer. This turning into a series, though. Please continue with the comments!

Without further a due, RaqshanWorks  Presents :

I followed Jake to my new homeroom. I heard the sound of Jake opened the door. I waited for him to go inside. Then I realized that he was waiting for me to enter first. I smiled and walked into the room. Inside I could hear kids talking and Whoosh! a paper airplane glided past my ear. I felt Jake  come to stand by me, “Come on, I’ll introduce you to the teacher.”

I follow Jake step by step to Mr.Fielder’s desk. Suddenly, I bumped hard into the desk. I heard pencils, papers, and what-not fall onto the ground. I also heard the class grow silent.

“Oh, dear!” I heard a man’s voice cry. Then I was on my hands and knees picking up pencils. Jake followed and I could feel the heat of a third body next to me, picking up the scattered papers.

“I am really sorry,” I said hastily handing the man a handfull of pencils.

“Oh, well,” the man said cheerfully, “My desk needed to be cleaned anyway. There was getting to be quite a pile of papers up there.” Then he seemed to realize he had never seen me before, “Your our new student! I see Jake has shown you to my classroom.” I heard Jake move away and knew he had taken his seat. Now I was alone with the teacher.

“I want you to introduce your self to the class,” he explained.

I nodded and turned towards the group of kids. I heard a gasp , a few snickers and shushing. I took a deep breath and began, ” My name is Aria. I am a swimmer. I am blind. I have one violet eye and one gray eye. I am good at art. Any kind.” It was the most I have ever spoken to a whole class at one time. Most of the time at my old school, the people were so retarded that when ever I opened my mouth to speak, most of the class would start laughing, as if it was the most funny thing they ever heard even if I hadn’t uttered a word.

“Good.” Mr. Fielder said warmly, “Take the seat next to Heather.”

I shuffled my feet and started, “Well, sir, I can’t see Heather.”

I heard Mr.Fielder clear his throat and I guess if I could see him he would be blushing. “I’m sorry ,Aria,” he said loudly, ” Heather, come lead Aria to her desk.”

I heard the sounds of feet sliding out from under a desk and then making their way up the isle towards me. “Follow me,”came a cocky voice.

I groaned inwardly. A Popularity Freak. I could tell from the way her voice sounded that she wasn’t going to be my favorite girl. I wanted to shout, “I’m supposed to sit next to her!?” But I followed her anyway. I slid into my seat as the teacher began the lesson.

True Seer #3 - April 16, 2010 by raqshan
This entry is part 3 of 4 in the series True Seer

Hi, guys!! This is the third part in the story! Here it is:

dragon / rose

“It’s time to switching classes,” Mr.Fielder’s voice announced. I stood up and made my way towards the way I thought was the door. That was until I felt a hand on my shoulder. “The door is this way,” Jake’s voice reminded me. My face grew red as i followed Jake towards the door. Just as I was stepping out I heard another boy call to Jake, “Hey! Jake wait up!” I felt Jake slow down next to me, so I turned. Even though I couldn’t see I wasn’t going to be rude and act as though he wasn’t there. I felt the heat of another body draw up next to Jake. “Um..hi,” the boys voice faltered a bit. “Hi,” I answered, staring at him with my sightless eyes. “This s Chad,” Jake introduced me, “he’s a friend of mine.”  I smiled and nodded. Chad seemed nice enough. “So what’s your next class, Aria?” Chad asked me as we continued walking. “I go to History next,” I explained as we stopped by my locker. I opened it and pulled out a note book with History printed on it. Then I continued along side Jake. “Teacher?” he asked. “Mrs.Ketty,”was my unfortunate answer. “Great! You and I are in the same class,” Chad said, “but sadly so is Diana.” “Who is Diana?” I asked. “The most popular, showoff, and know-it-all in the 6th grade and probably in the whole of middle school. Heather is her side-kick or as she likes to call her self: ?”best friend”.” Chad explained. I sighed.

Finally, we got to a door which Jake told me was where he had to leave Chad and me because he had Math now. I felt the braille and felt it read : HISTORY, in bolt braille. I pushed open the door and walked in. Chad followed me. Inside, unlike my homeroom, it was silent. I stood next to the door way and heard Chad hurry over a desk.

“I see our new student has come today,” a thin voice called from behind me. I turned, even though I couldn’t see her, and knew at once that Mrs.Ketty was not going to be her favorite teacher.

“Well then, “she said, “Why don’t take a seat next to Giana?”

I grumbled under my breathe then I said more loudly, “I can’t see Gina.”

“Well, obviously, ” Mrs. Ketty snapped, “Your turned the wrong way, your supposed to be facing the other way.”

I turned, “I still can’t see Gina.”

“Young Lady! What are you trying to tell me?” Mrs. Ketty screeched.

“I’m blind,” I replied patiently.

I faced her again and felt her take a step back at first, then she grabbed me by my wrist and yanked my down a row of desks. Next thing I knew I was thumped into a chair and my butt was stinging as though a wasp of bee had stung it hard.

True Seer #4 - May 1, 2010 by raqshan
This entry is part 4 of 4 in the series True Seer

dragon/roses

Hi! I am writing the fourth part! Here it is:

My class ended at 12:00. I walked the door way and  waited. Knowing all to well, that if I walked in the direction I thought I should walk, I would get lost and being blind probably miss lunch. I was just standing there a few minutes, when I heard foot steps heading my way. “Hi,” a female voice called. I turned and asked, “Who are you?” “I am Danna.”  I nodded and then another voice, one more welcoming called,” Hey, Aria! Come on, it’s lunch!” I turned towards Jake’s voice and and yelled back to Danna,” Nice meeting you. I’ve gotta go.” I strode towards the spot I had heard Jake’s voice come from. I felt the heat of his body as he walked towards the multipurpose and soon Chad joined us. As I sat down I heard a few girls across the lunch table giggle and I knew they were directing those giggles at me. I pretended not to notice. I stared ahead at the group of girls ahead of me. They slowly quieted and I smiled. That was the only good thing about my violet and gray eyes. They could easily make people uncomfortable. Suddenly, one of the girls gasped. Then in a small voice she whispered, “She’s the One.”
